The Metzingen-based fashion group Hugo Boss AG has appointed Eduard Spitz as CIO Global IT. On Tuesday, the company confirmed the appeal at FashionUnited’s request. The specialist magazine Textilwirtschaft (TW) had previously reported on the personnel.
Spitz took up his new post on March 1 and will now report directly to Yves Mueller, the Group’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Hugo Boss said. The newcomer now heads the IT department of the clothing supplier with more than 350 employees. He thus took over the previous area of responsibility from Jörg Walter, who will remain with the company in an advisory capacity until June.
Before moving to Metzingen, Spitz worked for the sporting goods group Adidas AG for more than 14 years. There he held various management positions in the IT sector. Most recently, he served as Vice President Digital Sales/Omnichannel.
