“My head voice isn’t as strong as it used to be and that’s really because of all the growling and screaming,” says the Australian actor, who has played the role in the Marvel films for about twenty years. “My voice teacher at drama school would have been really shocked by the things I had to do with my voice.”
Jackman says he has learned certain techniques to use his voice well, even if it involves yelling. However, playing Wolverine didn’t always go well. “I really did things that I think damaged my voice.”
Jackman doesn’t just star in movies; he is also on stage as a singer in musicals. He was recently seen in the musical The Music Man in New York City. Jackman can be seen in the film next year as Wolverine dead pool 3.
