Divorces in Hollywood are often really expensive. According to insider information, “Wolverine” star Hugh Jackman (55) also had to put a lot of money on the table after separating from his wife Deborra-Lee Furness (67). But not because his ex demanded it, but because he supposedly suggested it himself.
“Hugh Jackman has never cared much for money in his life. It’s not that important to him,” a friend of the superstar tells BILD. But his privacy is worth a big investment to him, the friend continued. That’s why Jackman offered his ex-wife to give her two thirds of his approximately 100 million euro fortune.
In return, however, Furness had to sign an ironclad “non-disclosure agreement” that obliged her to maintain absolute secrecy about her marriage to Jackman. That means no tell-all book, no TV or magazine interviews about her years with the actor, not a word about the rumors surrounding his sexuality and sexual preferences. Not even a few sentences about his role as father of their two children.
Jackman is also so generous because he has a very good relationship with Deborra-Lee after separating from his wife. The two would continue to lovingly look after their children and speak to each other almost every day.
Jackman also knows that his name is still very popular in Hollywood – and that he will certainly earn many more millions in the future.
