Actor Hugh Jackman and his actress wife Deborra-Lee Furness divorce after 27 years of marriage. A couple tells People– newspaper on Friday that he decided to resign.
– Our journey is now changing and we have decided to separate in order to pursue our individual growth, Jackman and Furness say in their statement.
They add that neither will comment further on the divorce.
Jackman and Furness met each other on the set of the Australian series Corelli in 1995. Love blossomed quickly and they got married the following year.
The couple appeared on the red carpet together for the last time at the Met Gala on May 1. In July, they were booed in the stands at the men’s tennis final at Wimbledon.
They have two children from their marriage, 23 years old Oscar and 18 years old Open.
