Hugh Hefner’s widow reveals how restricted life was in the Playboy mansion: “Everybody kissed the 80-year-old”

Hugh Hefner’s last wife and Playboy model Crystal Hefner, 37, is finally trying to let go of his past in the mansion. In a recent interview with an American magazine, Crystal reveals how her 10-year relationship with Hefner affected her then and now.

At the same time, he tells how he feels about the decisions he made when he was young.

Married young

Crystal met Playboy magazine founder Hugh Hefner when she was just 21 years old.

With the picture he sent, he had received an invitation to Hefner’s mansion, where parties were often organized for public figures and other famous people. At the Halloween party, Hefner drew his attention to the young Crystal and invited her to live with him in the mansion.

– It was really, really fast. I think he had experience getting people to move into the mansion right away, Crystal now tells the New York Post.

The move and the resulting relationship led to marriage in 2012. At the time, Crystal was 26 years old and Hefner was 86.

The reason she agreed to move into Hefner’s mansion was because she finally felt like she belonged and was important. Soon the imaginations were shattered and the harsh truth was revealed.

– Everything sort of dawned. Everyone kissed the 80-year-old man, he states.

Crystal sees it as problematic that Hefner had a relationship, especially with 18-year-old twins. In addition, Hefner created competition between women, which caused pressure and bad relations with others. Crystal felt that she had no friends.

At the same time, Hefner became more demanding and dependent on Crystal. Crystal was not allowed to live her life, but lived entirely on Hefner’s terms and decisions. He had a curfew and was not allowed to go anywhere alone. Although life had become limited, Crystal could not leave.

– Towards the end, I felt that I couldn’t leave him. I had to take care of him, Crystal tells why she didn’t leave the man.

Effect

Hefner died at the age of 91 in 2017, which meant Crystal got the freedom she longed for. Even so, he has only recently come to you with his past.

Processing the experience has required hours in therapy, according to Crystal. He has also had to deal with many things in different ways, so that he has been able to leave even the traumatic things behind.

According to the model, processing some things still takes time, but she wants to work on things and give herself time. He no longer wants to suppress himself or his own voice, which is why he plans to publish his biography.
