MovieHugh Grant (61) will soon take on the role of an Oompa Loompa in ‘Wonka’, a new prequel to the film classic ‘Charlie And The Chocolate Factory’. According to the British newspaper The Daily Mail, the British actor has volunteered.
What the Oompa Loompas will look like in the prequel is currently unknown. In the past, the characters in question have always been short in stature, but according to The Daily Mail, the makers of the film have no intention of casting actors with dwarfism for the roles. A few weeks ago there was a fuss after actors with dwarfism were wanted for the future live-action remake of ‘Snow White’. American actor Peter Dinklage called Disney’s choice “really old-fashioned”.
