In Berlin-Weißensee, a 1200 square meter warehouse with building materials caught fire on Thursday night!
At around 11:45 p.m. late on Wednesday evening, a fire alarm system at the company in Feldtmannstraße triggered the alarm.
When the emergency services arrived, the huge warehouse with building materials was ablaze. The fire brigade was on site with 110 firefighters and had the fire under control after an hour. This prevented the fire from spreading to other halls.
The remaining extinguishing work continued into the morning. A drone was also used.
According to initial information, no one was injured. The fire brigade warned about the Nina Warnapp and KATWARN: Please keep doors and windows closed due to the smoke from the fire.
A major fire also broke out in Marzahn during the night.
In the Kienbergpark in the Gardens of the World on Blumberger Damm, a 100 square meter service building on a toboggan run caught fire. According to the fire brigade, which was on site with 32 firefighters, including the volunteer fire brigade, the building “was on fire in its entirety”. There were no injuries.
The toboggan run cannot be used for the time being. A specialist commissariat of the Berlin police determined. Arson is currently suspected.
