A huge fire is raging on the De Run industrial estate in Veldhoven. The fire started in a thrift store, but has spread to an adjacent building. An NL Alert has been sent due to the large smoke development.
No one was injured in the fire.
The fire service advises people living in the area to keep windows and doors closed if they are bothered by the smoke.
The fire was reported around a quarter past three on Saturday night. The thrift store on the industrial estate was on fire. It was soon scaled up to ‘very large fire’. Extra fire trucks have been deployed to prevent neighboring buildings from catching fire as well. But that could not prevent a building next to the cycle from catching fire.
