On February 22nd and 24th, 2024, Depeche Mode performed at the O2 Arena in Prague as part of their “Memento Mori” tour. These photos from a gigantic fan meeting that took place on Charles Bridge prove how popular the British duo is in the Czech capital. The entire bridge is full from front to back, there must have been thousands of them:

Many of the DM fans have signs with them, one supporter carries a life-size paper figure in front of him, showing the band’s “World In My Eyes” greeting, made famous by the 1990 single, with his hands in front of his eyes.
“So the bridge is now renamed ‘Daves Bridge’, I assume!? 😂🙌❤️, an Instagram user asks jokingly. “Perhaps I will be reborn as a bridge in Prague,” writes another – in one picture in the photo series Dave Gahan can be seen standing on the bridge looking melancholy into the Vltava.
Tomorrow, Thursday, Depeche Mode will perform in Lodsz, Poland, then they will continue through Europe – the final stop for Dave, Martin Gore, Christina Eigner and Peter Gordeno is on April 8th, 2024 in the Lanxess Arena in Cologne.
The Charles Bridge
Built in the 14th century, Charles Bridge connects Prague’s Old Town on the right bank with the Lesser Town on the left. It is a landmark of the city and is a national cultural monument. Its length is 516 meters and its width is around 10 meters. The Prague Bridge (Pražský most) contributed significantly to making Prague an important stop in trade between Western and Eastern Europe. For centuries it was an important transport connection between Prague’s districts.
