The live shopping specialist HSE continued to grow in the 2021 financial year. Sales amounted to 848 million euros and thus exceeded the level of the previous year by five percent, said Home Shopping Europe GmbH on Friday, citing preliminary, as yet unaudited figures. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) adjusted for special effects also increased accordingly.
“The DACH region accounts for almost 90 percent of sales and adjusted EBITDA,” explained HSE. According to the company, e-commerce developed above average there: Thanks to growth of 15 percent, its share of total sales in the DACH region rose to 37 percent last year, the company said.
Sandra Rehm, CEO of HSE, was satisfied with the results: “In 2021, we grew steadily in sales over all four quarters – even under the massive challenges in the international supply chain,” she said in a statement. “The strong business result results from the clear focus on the digital transformation of our business model, targeted measures to acquire new customers, the expansion of our product range and our social commerce activities.”
