Although this regulation has not yet been approved by the call for general elections, the specific measure is in force and can be consulted in the Workers’ Statutein article 37, which regulates the weekly rest.

If we turn to this regulatory text, it is stipulated that “The worker will have the right to be absent from work due to force majeure. when necessary for urgent family reasons related to family members or cohabitants, in the event of illness or accident that make their immediate presence essential“.

The duration will not exceed 4 days a yearbut these hours of absence will be paid provided it is for reasons included in this section. Therefore, if you have a close relative in the hospital and you have to take care of them, you can turn to this leave due to force majeure.
