Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth ties in with everything that came before it in the epic remake trilogy and even the demo. Here’s how…
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is the second chapter in a trilogy of remakes of the PS1 classic and, while excellent as a stand-alone game, it connects to the previous chapter in the series.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth free bonus —
Players who have tried Final Fantasy 7 Remake, as well as its Intermission DLC for PS5, will get special bonuses in Rebirth that are very useful for novices.
Players who complete the Rebirth demo will also get bonuses that, while not as useful as those in Remake, will still give you a good advantage in the early stages of the game.
This guide will explain how to redeem save data bonuses in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and what these bonuses are.
How to Redeem Save Data Bonuses – FF7 Rebirth —
Claiming save data bonuses in FF7 Rebirth is a three-step process, one of which takes place before you even open the game. First you need to make sure your save data for Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Intermission are on the same console as Rebirth, which may involve transferring from another PS4 or PS5 system or downloading from the cloud. You will also need to use the same account.
After making sure that your Remake save data is present on the console you will be playing Rebirth on, you will need to launch the game, then from the main menu of the title screen, scroll down to the Bonus button. Select the “Check Saved Data” button and the game will spend a few seconds looking for products in your PS5’s SSD, before telling you what it found.
After that, you’ll need to start a new game, play a short prologue sequence, defeat some enemies as Sephiroth, then play through the entire Nibelheim flashback – or skip it if you completed the Nibelheim section in the Rebirth demo.
Once you have control of Cloud in the present, you can open the menu, navigate to System, and select the DLC/Bonus button. Select the bonus items you wish to redeem and they will be placed in your inventory to be used at your convenience.
All save data bonuses – FF7 Rebirth —
As mentioned, there are three bonuses for save data from previous games and demos: one for Final Fantasy 7 Remake, one for Final Fantasy 7 Remake: Episode Intermission, and one for save data from the Rebirth demo. You don’t need to have finished any of these games to redeem the bonuses, you just need to have save data on your console.
Here are the save data bonuses for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth:
Final Fantasy 7 Remake
- If you have Final Fantasy 7 Remake save data on your console, you will have access to the Leviathan Summon Materia, which will allow you to summon the fearsome Leviathan into combat, which deals non-elemental damage.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake: Episode Intermission
- Final Fantasy 7 Remake: Episode Intermission save data will give you access to the Ramuh summoning materia, which will allow you to summon the electric Ramuh into combat.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth demo
- If you have save data for the FF7 Rebirth demo, you will get the moogle lucky charm, an accessory that increases your HP by 5% and sometimes increases the amount of materials collected in the field, and an adventure set, a small collection of potions and ether useful for the early stages of the game. If you completed the Nibelheim section of the demo, you can also skip it in the main game.
