‘How to Fashion’ initiative starts pop-up program in Vienna

The Austrian Fashion Association (AFA) is organizing a three-part pop-up program in collaboration with the Vienna business organization.

The pop-up is part of the ‘How to Fashion’ workshop initiative and enables three young labels to present their products in the AFA club office.

Last week, Nearon Studio, the second label, exhibited its work in the temporary retail space in the Austrian capital, the AFA said in a statement. Nearon Studio was founded by two Ukrainian women who came to Austria in 2017 to study. In the pop-up they showed parts of their denim collection, suits, blazers as well as two-piece suits, shirts and dresses.

The label, founded in 2022, is run by an all-female team and specializes in upcycling locally sourced second-hand clothing.

The brand’s denim collection impresses with modern silhouettes and the patchwork look typical of upcycling fashion. There are also trend-oriented two-pieces made from old blazers, consisting of a mini skirt and a cropped top.

In the temporary shop, visitors could not only buy the brand’s designs, but also have a piece customized from a selection of vintage blazers.
