How the Yoga Tour in Sardinia went

Stilvia, Giacinta, Silvia G., Maira, Giorgio, Giovanna, Beatrice, Elena, Ornella, Marco, Marta, Maria Grazia. Well yes, it’s really us, the participants in the yoga tour-trip of iO Woman recently completed. Destination Sardinia, precisely Ogliastra on the eastern side of the island, a real amphitheater that opens onto some of the most admired beaches in the world.

A place of spectacular beauty that we were able to visit both by sea, by dinghy, and from the top of the mountains with the Jeeps, appreciating the charm of this ancient and mysterious land, warmed by rituals and traditions overwhelmingly linked to nature.

We still have in our eyes the marvel of the red porphyry cliffs of Arbatax silhouetted against the turquoise of the sea, doodles of basaltic and granite rock that plunge into the blue-green water, transparent like a precious jade, waterfalls that reach the sea from the mountain, hawks that play with the updrafts and small dark cormorants in relaxation among the waves, where imposing stone peaks stand out, the joy of reckless free climbers.

We bowed our heads to enter the caves of Cala Luna, Cala Goloritzè, the cave of Fico and searched for natural statues on the rocksgoing back to when, as children, we made drawings with clouds: stone dromedaries in the middle of the sea, elephants, giant horses, eaglets sculpted by the wind and salt on the walls of the coast…

And then by Jeep, to discover the most inaccessible areas of Barbagia, among the ancient buildings of the shepherds, nuraghe and stones that tell millenary stories. To conclude the visit with a lunch in the Bertarelli sheepfolda concentrate of ancient wisdom and harmony, a feast of flavours.

A fascinating journey, which has reconnected us with ourselves and nature, thanks also to morning and evening Yoga practice with teacher Arianna Dadati which marked days full of pleasant fun and joy.
