Princess Lara will never wake up again. Lara Demeulemeester (3) died on Thursday evening from complications as a result of AML, a form of leukemia that is difficult to treat. Lara was the girl who turned the Tour of Flanders pink, made the hearts of Wout van Aert and Mathieu van der Poel skip a beat, the little princess who all of Flanders hoped would heal miraculously. That miracle never happened.
