7th day of the trial against the Afghan killer brothers Yousuf Sayed (26) and Mahdi Seyed H. (23). On July 13, 2021, her sister Maryam (34) disappeared in Berlin. She was found buried in Bavaria.
On the day of their disappearance, videos show the brothers towing a suitcase on a trolley to the train to Munich at Südkreuz station (Schöneberg). The brothers remain silent in court.
“At 3:49 p.m. on July 29, I texted my boss: I’ve got something,” recalls police officer Jeremy S. (23). He was with the 3rd Murder Squad at the time. Evaluated surveillance videos from Berlin train stations for days.
“At 4:33 minutes and 55 seconds you enter the lobby,” says the police officer.

“The suitcase shows a bulge. You seem tired. Turn him off. Carry him on. The suitcase has a very noticeable curvature. You haven’t gotten very far. You’re up to the platform, to the ticket machine. Dropped the suitcase. 4:39 p.m. Both grab the handle of the suitcase and pull it to the next seat. The shapelessness of the suitcase is striking.
They sit there from 4:42 p.m. to 5:52 p.m., the suitcase is between the bench and the trash can. One is busy with his mobile phone, the other is walking back and forth on the platform like on hot coals. Then they pull the suitcase to the train and heave it in: one at the front by the handle, the other holding the wheels at the back. The case probably couldn’t be rolled because of the bulky load.”
The investigation revealed that such a suitcase was bought at 11:01 a.m. at Primark on Alexanderplatz on the day Maryam disappeared for 60 euros.
The police also bought a suitcase to test whether a human could fit inside. The officer who tried it was Maryam’s build – it fit.
