With more than 20 years in the kitchen, he is considered one of the most relevant chefs

One of its restaurants leaves behind “rigidity” to offer any style of gastronomy

Alberto Chicote He has been in the kitchen for more than 20 years and is considered one of the most important chefs in our country. In addition, thanks to his undoubted charisma, he has become an essential piece of our screens, through his program Nightmare in the kitchen and for nine years accompanying us on one of the most special days of the year, giving the Chimes with Cristina Pedroche.

Despite all these appearances, the man from Madrid has never set aside the management of his restaurants, his true vocation and what he became known for. In addition, in these years he has been expanding his menu of premises, so we show you all the ones he currently has.

Alberto Chicote’s restaurants in Madrid

The first restaurant that Alberto Chicote opened in Madrid was the Yakitoro on Reina street. He did it in 2014, although he completely renovated it in 2019. It is a place that fuses Spanish and Japanese cuisine.

In 2015, he inaugurated another Yakitoro on the Paseo de la Castellana. This follows the same line as the previous one, so they offer the same letter.

In November 2021, Chicote separated from the gastronomic direction of both, although he continues to be a shareholder.

The third place that the man from Madrid opened in the capital was the Puertalsol Terrace Restaurant (2016), located in the very Puerta del Sol in Madrid. It is a terrace with a large menu of rice, meat and fish.

In July 2022, Chicote opened its latest restaurant, called omeraki. As he explained in an interview in Take it less seriously the objective of this was to get out of the “rigidity” of the types of dishes offered in Yakitoro and to be able to serve any style of gastronomy. Thus, this does not have a closed letter, but rather it varies temporarily.
