Teamwork has established itself as the best way to broaden the horizons of any project.
We also know that a team is made up of people (with their personalities), and that the challenge is usually fairness and balance in their functions.
What would happen if a group of horses entered the team?
In principle, it would no longer be a team of only people; when entering horses, one would have to learn to trust new strategies to handle different communication codes. From the beginning of the experience, people are required to work as a team to adapt to a very different reality.
A usual example; the brainstorming that for some reason has turned into a drought. Walking among horses has an immediate effect on the body; new smells, colors, textures, new fears or tenderness, new or old discomforts that awaken people from the numbness of work routines, and personal drizzles begin to take shape from the corporality.
The body registers any external or internal sensation 300 milliseconds faster than what we call consolidated thought. The body always he knows about the world a little before reasoning and words, hence the interesting thing about waking him up, in this case through his experience with horses.
What would be the creative benefit to the team?
It turns out that giving preference to the body, to the senses, to the creation of new records allows the team to recover data on how to put together ideas from sensations and not from thoughts that are usually more tied to rigidity than to the game. Horses enable creativity and different questions because to bond with them you have to leave our main comfort zone: spoken language.
If the team wants to bond with the horses on an equal footing, they must implement a humid climate, full of brainstorming that allows them to put themselves in the shoes of this silent and generous species.
And so, like playing, perhaps they have recovered the joy of retracing that creative path that was forgotten, or discover new circuits to obtain better results.
This is the dynamic that characterizes a coaching session with horses where the change in attitude and outlook is experienced and felt naturally and instantly. An experience of personal development that is worn on the skin. We are Dr. Mariana Bornsztein and Silvia D’Alessandro
