How does the IoT bring a hardware’s digital twin to life?

Digital twins are virtual representations of physical processes or products. They can predict their operation thanks to artificial intelligence, big data and data reported by the IoT (Internet of Things). Thursday, March 10, 2022 at 11 a.m., Kaliop, the specialist in digital transformation and innovation, is organizing a webinar to share with you the best practices to implement in a digital twin project. You will discover in particular the feedback from ShareMat, a player in smart logistics, based on the open source Kuzzle IoT platform.

Successfully designing a digital twin

The digital twin, or digital twin in English, aims to create a digital double of a product, a building, a vehicle… of any object. When this object is equipped with IoT sensors, this makes it possible to trace data in real time. We then obtain a virtual copy of the physical world, which gives access to a multitude of information without even moving. Via the digital twin, the data offers an advanced level of monitoring and knowledge of the physical product: technical, documentary and regulatory information, such as its condition, malfunction or location.

For companies, the application of a digital twin offers concrete benefits, particularly in a context where digital players must anticipate the various developments in their market. To properly exploit the potential of this virtual representation, however, it is necessary to know the prerequisites for its deployment. In this webinarKaliop invites ShareMat and Kuzzle to share their feedback on the implementation of digital twins in the context of Smart Logistics.

ShareMat’s Smart Logistics Use Case

For this online conference, Kaliop will give the floor to two experts: Jacques Le Conte, CEO of Kuzzle, the publisher of Kuzzle IoT, an expert software platform in the management of IoT, APIs and data, and Jean-Luc Firmin, Founding President of ShareMat , the connected collaborative platform for fleet management, specializing in public works. The latter will explain how his company succeeded in developing this collaborative application which includes the management of the fleet of machines, maintenance and site assignments with Kuzzle IoT. He will reveal how this has contributed to the optimization and profitability of the park.

Through this use case of smart logistics, you will be able to better understand how the digital twin can accelerate decision-making, in order to simplify and improve in real time the management of processes and materials.
