How a new generation of Ukrainian TikTokkers is beating the war: “The whole world needs to see what is really happening here” | War Ukraine and Russia

While TikTokkers in Russia can no longer upload new videos, a new generation of influencers is emerging in Ukraine. Young Ukrainians in their twenties, especially girls, have made it their mission to try to inform Generation Z correctly via the social media app about what is happening in Ukraine, how life is currently at war and fake news banned as much as possible. Their on-the-spot coverage helped them gain hundreds of thousands of followers in no time and their videos were viewed as many as 50 million times. “Russian followers who at first didn’t believe in the war are now sending me that they are on our side,” one of them said.
