Housing construction in Oosterhesselen: ‘The largest project in this village in twenty years’

The plan for the new district has been in place for a few years. In 2020, the developer gave the go-ahead by gauging interest during an information afternoon together with Local Interest Oosterhesselen.

The interest group was already working on a survey to map out that interest. “During the process, I have continuously asked the interest group whether we are on the right track. Because no one wants us to add the wrong type of homes to the village.”

Klenckerveld will be a mixed neighborhood with owner-occupied homes in various price ranges, the developer continues. “There will be terraced houses, semi-detached houses and detached houses, with prices globally between 260,000 and 650,000 euros. We are focusing on starters, families and seniors.”

There will be no rental properties. “That was initially discussed, but we understood that the housing association had no need for new homes.”

New for the village, but according to the developer also for the entire region, is the extra attention to nature in this project. “We were inspired by the new construction project Kerkebosch in Zeist. We recently also took a look there together with members of Local Interest.”
