House uninhabitable after fire in Ypres

The fire started shortly after two o’clock in a house in the Kattestraat in Ypres. When the fire brigade arrived, the occupant of the house was already waiting for them. The fire was already raging in the false ceiling between the ground floor and the first floor. The Westhoek fire brigade zone immediately scaled up and called in the help of a car pump and a tanker.

The house is uninhabitable, the resident will receive shelter elsewhere. No one was injured.
