House prices in Flevoland up the most | Money

In the first quarter, the Land Registry and Statistics Netherlands had measured an increase of 20.3%. The price increase leveled off in almost all provinces. Only in Drenthe and Overijssel did the increase remain virtually the same, respectively. At 21.7%, the price increase was greatest in Flevoland. The price increase was the smallest in Zeeland, at 16.1%.

A total of 47,382 houses changed hands in the second quarter. That was 10.2% less than a year earlier and after the first quarter of 2022 after the lowest number of residential transactions in 6 years.

Of the four largest Dutch cities, the price increase in Utrecht was greatest in the second quarter (+17.6%). The price increases in Amsterdam, Rotterdam and The Hague amounted to 17.1%, 16.4% and 14.1% respectively.

Two weeks ago, brokerage organization NVM reported a price increase of 10.6% on an annual basis for the second quarter, based on current sales figures from affiliated brokers. A price increase of 14.6% was measured in the first quarter. The NVM figures differ from the figures from Statistics Netherlands/Kadaster because of the different measurement moment, but also because of a different calculation method and the fact that the NVM only includes transactions from its own brokers.
