“House Of The Dragon”: New promo poster released

“Game Of Thrones” fans can be happy: The TV launch of “House Of The Dragon” is getting closer. Westeros is coming back to screens. Set 200 years before the events of Game Of Thrones, the show tells the story of the House of Targaryen. Now HBO has released a new promo poster.

Here is a brief overview of the main characters: King Viserys Targaryen (Paddy Considine) rules Westeros and has a daughter named Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy) from his first marriage. So far so good. As the firstborn, Rhaenyra claims the line of succession, but the great Targaryen family thwarts her plans.

Aegon II Targaryen also wants to have a say. He is the king’s son from his second marriage, and his mother Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke) wants him to succeed his father. But that’s not all.

Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith), the younger brother of the king, is also fighting for the throne. He sees himself as the rightful heir and has the support of Alicent’s father, Otto Hightower (Rhys Ifans). This conflict resulted in a civil war that went down in Westeros history as the “Dance of the Dragons”.
