MECHELEN – A roundabout for buses has recently been installed around the house of Dirk Van den Broeck (80) in Mechelen in Belgium. It is not a fine example of spatial planning, but the Mechelaar does not worry about it. “I’m glad I still live here, the view is beautiful,” he says. Years ago, he was in danger of losing his home.
