According to media partner Alkmaar Central things have gone wrong several times at the house. Last year the house was shot at and a fireworks bomb exploded last Thursday. The incidents are reason for the mayor to close the house.
Unsafe feeling
In a letter, Mayor Anja Schouten writes that public order has been disrupted by events and the sense of security of residents in and around Lekstraat has decreased. “That is why I, as mayor, feel compelled to temporarily close the house.”
The police are still investigating last Thursday’s attack.
