Hours of delay on the A58 after truck collision: ‘Postpone your trip’

Two trucks collided on the A58 near Tilburg on Thursday afternoon between Oirschot and De Baars junction. The delay is more than an hour on the road. Crowds are also increasing on the diversion route. Rijkswaterstaat therefore advises against traveling by car from Eindhoven to Tilburg in the coming hours.

The ANWB reports that it will take hours before the problems are resolved. One of the trucks crashed into the back of the other. The exact cause of the accident is still under investigation. The right lane is closed.

Postpone trip
It will also be busy on the diversion route and rush hour has yet to start, Rijkswaterstaat reports at half past two. “If you want to drive from Eindhoven to Tilburg, the advice is to postpone your trip.

Traffic is diverted towards Den Bosch via the A2 and A65. It will take a few more hours before the road is free, Rijkswaterstaat expects.

Other accidents on highways
Things also went wrong in other places in Brabant on Thursday. Two small trucks collided on the Keizersveersbrug on the A27 near Raamsdonksveer this morning. The collision briefly closed the highway to traffic.
