Manilva Hotels once again leads the list of taxpayers in the tourism sector who owe more than 600,000 euros to the Ministry of Finance, with a total debt of 23.18 million euros, which is 120,000 euros less than last year. Behind her stands Polaris World Tourist Serviceswhich accumulates a total debt of 21.55 million euros of debt to the Treasury.
The tenth list of defaulters of the Spanish Tax Agency includes a total of 6,076 debtors of more than 600,000 euros at the end of 2022, which is 13.7% less than the volume collected in the last list published last year.
New additions to the list include Pullmantur Cruiseswith 957,438 euros, which is added to its parent company Pullmantur SA, which accumulates another debt of 817,397 euros.
The airline also repeats in the first positions of the list Spanair, which ceased operations at the end of 2012 and owes the Treasury 7.15 million euros. In September 2014, Barcelona Mercantile Court 10 sentenced all the members of the board of directors, including Ferran Soriano, who was its president, and the Generalitat company Avansa to pay jointly and severally the amount of 10.8 million euro.
As for the Ciudad Real airport, whose construction cost about 450 million euros, accumulates a debt with the Treasury of 3.45 million euros. The debt belongs to the former owners of the airfield, not to the current ones.
It should be noted that the majority of companies in the tourism and aviation sector that appear on the Treasury list have already disappeared due to bankruptcy or are in bankruptcy.
Air Comet owes almost 14 million
There is also another year on the list. Air Cometwith a debt of 13.9 million to the Treasury, a company whose flight license was withdrawn at the end of 2009 due to insolvency, leaving 24,000 affected (equivalent to 45,000 routes sold without being carried out).

More hotels join the list of defaulters

Among the hotel companies with a debt to the treasury that exceeds one million euros are: Sands Beach Resorts (12.7 million), Hotel Almería (9.8 million); Rustic Hotel (9.59 million), Hotels Rosincs Unipersonal (9.82 million); Promotions and Hotel Services Guadalpin (7.4 million), Hotel Brasilia Beach (5.4 million); EveMarina Hotels (2.2 million), Sansan Hotels (2 millions), Cymar Hotel Management (1.7 million), Hotel Rincon Andaluz (1.68 million), Ambito Sur Hotels (1.29 million) and Orie Coast Hotelsntal (1.2 million).
