In the night from Saturday to Sunday it’s that time again: sport.de shows spectacular motorsport action from the WEC Endurance World Championship in a LIVE stream – the classic from Mount Fuji in Japan.
The penultimate stop of the 2023 WEC season has a very special treat in store for fans of the racing series. With the Toyota home race at the 6 Hours of Fuji, a real classic is on the agenda.
You can find out whether there will be the home team’s next demonstration of power after 2022 or whether Ferrari and Co. can cause a surprise in the LIVE stream on September 10th from 3:30 a.m sport.de track. The strap opens at the top of the article image.
Unsurprisingly, the two Toyota GR010 Hybrids of Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi and José María López as well as Sébastien Buemi, Ryo Hirakawa and Brendon Hartley go into the race weekend as favorites. Ferrari will be the big challenger with both 499Ps. It will also be exciting to look at the recently strengthened Peugeot.
WEC is visiting Fuji for the tenth time
By the way, the FIA Endurance Championship is stopping at the 4.56 kilometer long Fuji Speedway for the tenth time since its inception. The race track was only not part of the calendar in 2020 and 2021 due to the corona pandemic.
By the way, the WEC lap record dates back to the early days. In 2016, Loic Duval drove his car around the 16-corner track in 1:24.645 minutes.
By the way, former stars of the Formula 1 motorsport premier class, such as Kobayashi, Buemi and Hartley, are not only found at Toyota. Stoffel Vandoorne, Paul di Resta and Jean-Éric Vergne are driving for Peugoet, Antonio Giovinazzi is driving for Ferrari and the only German starter André Lotterer also has an F1 Grand Prix on his CV.
