A hot air balloon landing did not go as planned in Izegem on Sunday evening. Due to problems with the thermals and eventually a gas shortage, the pilot put the balloon on the ground in a controlled manner in the narrow Molstraat in the De Mol district. That went without a hitch. The balloon itself hung around a lighting pole as it collapsed. No one was injured.
