Interested cities can submit a bid book as of this week. Last week, the EBU and BBC announced that a long list will be published later this summer from which a choice will be made. Since it became clear that Great Britain will most likely organize the Eurovision Song Contest, at least sixteen cities have already announced that they want to bring in the event.
Last year fans had to wait until October 8. Then it became clear that Turin was going to organize the Eurovision Song Contest in 2022. The Netherlands was even earlier in 2019: then it was announced on August 30 that Rotterdam had been chosen over Maastricht.
Normally, Ukraine would organize the song festival after the Kalush Orchestra’s victory in May, but that is not possible because of the war with Russia. Last Monday it became clear that the event will definitely go to Great Britain.
