The forward turned himself in at a Los Angeles police station and paid a bail of about 125,000 euros
A woman, who needed medical attention, assures that an argument ended with physical violence by the player
Miles Bridges, player of the Charlotte Hornets, was arrested last night in Los Angeles accused of domestic violence. According to TMZ, the forward turned himself in at a police station in the Californian city and has been accused of crimes of violence against a woman who later required medical attention.
Bridges was released after posting bail of $130,000, about 124,500 euros. The events occurred in the early hours of last Tuesday, and when the police went to the scene of the events, the NBA player was no longer there, presenting himself voluntarily at the police station 24 hours later.
If the facts are proven and the Charlotte player is convicted, the NBA will intervene in the matter with some type of sanction for the athlete.
Bridges was looking for a big contract today after his franchise made him a free agent, but the incident could be a major brake on his professional basketball career.
