Hearing acoustics is a priority at the Hanse Innovation Campus Lübeck. Unique in Germany is the large number of institutions that work together with well-known actors around the campus to promote the topic of hearing: Hearing, acoustics and communication are used in all their different facets in research projects, courses of study, nationwide craft training for hearing acousticians, and in the clinical area and driven forward by interdisciplinary cooperation.
Founding project partners of HörHanse are the three Lübeck universities, the University of Lübeck, the Technical University of Lübeck, the Lübeck University of Music and the University of Schleswig-Holstein, the German Hearing Aid Institute, the Federal Guild of Hearing Aid Acousticians (biha), the Academy for Hearing Aid Acousticians, and the State Vocational School for Hearing Aid Acousticians and hearing care professionals and the company hear concept.
Foundation funds from the Damp Foundation have now been raised for an effective start to the HörHanse project. The project was able to start on April 1st, 2023 and pursues the goal of working on the topic of hearing at various levels in a cross-curricular and particularly interdisciplinary way on the Hanse Innovation Campus Lübeck for 3 years.
The aim of HörHanse is to enable good, reliable acoustic communication with a high level of listening comfort for everyone, despite possible hearing impairments. By bundling the diverse skills of those involved in the field of hearing care at the Hanse Innovation Campus Lübeck, technical possibilities are to be optimised, work with patients improved and healthy hearing promoted. The listening experience and the quality of life of hearing patients play an important role – the focus is on the hearing person. Exemplary topics of work in the HörHanse are the acoustic participation in everyday life, secure communication with other people, but also the joy of listening and music and listening pleasure. The HörHanse should only work together and through the synergies of the different perspectives and skills to improve the quality of hearing. This is how HörHanse creates added value for the hearing society.
