Hoornse thrift store still looking for owner found urn

The urn that turned up at the Dromehof thrift store in Hoorn at the beginning of March has not yet reached its owner. No tips have been received that have led to a breakthrough. “There is no progress yet,” says employee Gerda Marsé.

Last week was the urn found at the thrift store. The black box, containing a gold-colored heart, was in the warehouse of the thrift store. Employees did not know what hit them. ”We turned the box over and saw a kind of lock that you can open. When we looked at the content, we knew enough”, Gerda said.

It is thought that the urn was taken away by accident. The golden heart is very similar to an art object. Gerda took a number of photos of the urn and posted them on Facebook with an appeal. This has not helped so far, even after another message.

“We hope that the owner will report to us”

In addition to the fact that no valuable tips have been received, it is also not yet clear whether the ashes in the urn belong to a person or animal.

The urn is now safely in the office of the thrift store. If it has to go after a certain time, Gerda will take the urn home. Here she then waits for a few more weeks with pain for the owner. Is nobody registering? Then the recycling worker plans to scatter the ashes herself.

Tips that will lead to a breakthrough are still welcome. ”We hope that the owner will report to us,” says Gerda.
