Hong Kong remains the most expensive city in the world for expats. This is evident from the ranking of the most expensive cities for foreign workers that research institute Mercer draws up annually. Five European cities are in the top five. Brussels is in 41st place, two places lower than last year but 26 places higher than five years ago.
