CASA has been the victim of a cyberattack with ransomware, in which “some personal data of several customers” was leaked. The retail chain informs its customers by e-mail.

“Certain personal data” has been leaked, although it is not known how many customers have been affected. According to CASA, this may include names, e-mail addresses, telephone numbers and customer numbers.
In the e-mail, the retail chain writes that bank and payment details of customers have not been leaked, because CASA does not process such information itself. Meanwhile, an investigation into the attack is still ongoing. It is unknown whether CASA paid a ransom to release the affected IT systems.
The store chain writes that the stores and webshop are open as usual. However, deliveries may be delayed due to the attack.
