Musiala shoots Bayern out of the crisis
Musiala scored the 2-0 himself and he also made it 3-0 and almost single-handedly shot the Munich team out of the crisis thanks to his furious performance on the eighth day of the Bundesliga match. He had never been directly involved in three goals in a competitive FC Bayern game before Friday. And Munich’s four winless games before were forgotten for the time being.
“Magic Musiala” gets a lot of praise
Captain Manuel Neuer promptly named Musiala a “key player” on the BR Sport microphone – and that at the age of just 19. “He’s relaxed, has a certain dynamism and is difficult to separate from the ball. England manager Gareth Southgate is still saddened that Musiala chose his country of birth over the country where he grew up on his 18th birthday last year. “It’s a shame, he’s a really special talent,” said Southgate after the 3-3 draw last Monday: “He knows how much we like him and how much we wanted to keep him with us.”

“I try not to look at it too much,” says the midfielder himself. “I just have to develop further, improve myself. Try things, have the courage to dribble and just be creative.”
Bayern boss Oliver Kahn, on the other hand, raves like Neuer about the offensive player, who seems to have finally outgrown the status of exceptional talent in the World Cup season. “Jamal shows what he’s made of from game to game. It’s very consistent. He manages to get to his top performance level game after game. He’s the one who’s giving us a lot of joy at the moment.”
