The best home savings contracts for homeowners

Savers who are already certain today that they want to buy or build a property in the future can secure favorable loan interest at an early stage with a home loan and savings contract. Against this background, we have compared the best home savings contracts for you in terms of a home loan in the future.

With the ZukunftPlus tariff, LBS Südewest offers savers who want to realize their dream of owning their own home very attractive conditions. The minimum savings amount for this tariff is 50,000 euros. Your balance earns interest at 0.01 percent. The closing fee is 1.6 percent. With a home savings sum of 50,000 euros, you are entitled to an effective annual interest rate of 1.54 percent. The loan can be used from a minimum savings balance of 45 percent of the home savings sum.

As the second provider in our test, Wüstenrot offers a building savings contract with the Premium tariff, which has an average interest rate of 0.01 percent on credit balances. The closing fee for this home savings contract is 1 percent of the home savings sum. The minimum savings amount is 10,000 euros. The loan can be used from a minimum savings balance of 30 percent or 40 percent. Savers who have saved up to 30 percent of their savings contract and then apply for a loan have to accept a slightly higher interest rate of 2.25 percent or 2.00 percent from a building savings sum of 100,000 euros or more. Depending on the repayment contribution selected, this results in an effective annual interest rate of 2.52 percent – 2.81 percent. If the contract saves up to 40 percent of the BS, savers receive a loan interest rate of 1.50 percent or 1.25 percent. The effective annual interest is therefore 1.57 percent – 1.88 percent depending on the repayment rate.

The third provider in our home savings contract comparison is Schwäbisch Hall. The tariff is suitable here FuchsImmo XP*, if you plan to build a house or buy a property in the coming years. You will receive 0.01 percent interest on your credit at Schwäbisch Hall. At least you have to conclude a home savings contract for 10,000 euros. Depending on what has been determined, you are entitled to your real estate loan at the agreed interest rate if you have saved at least 46 percent of the home savings sum yourself. In this case, your loan interest is 1.55 percent. The annual percentage rate without a choice is 1.82 percent.

A notice: Here we have compared the three Bauspar tariffs that, due to their design, are particularly suitable for realizing your dream home. Aside from these tariffs, all three tested building societies offer exclusive “low-interest” tariffs. If you can handle a high monthly burden, you should take a closer look at these tariffs – these tariffs can also pay off in the long run. We did not take them into account in our test.
