TSV 1860 Munich has to accept the first defeat of the still young third division season: The favorite lions lost 1:2 at home against newly promoted VfB Lübeck.

Third game of the season, first defeat: TSV 1860 Munich had to put up with the first setback on the 3rd day of the 3rd division. In the Grünwalder Stadion, the Löwen lost 1:2 against VfB Lübeck after a 1:0 lead.

Greilinger’s own goal brings Lübeck into play

Julian Guttau initially gave TSV 1860 the lead in front of 15,000 spectators. An own goal by Fabian Greilinger (25th) and a low shot by Lübeck’s Tarik Gözüsirin (31st) then caused the first setback of the season for the lions, who had controlled the game for long stretches. After a dominant Munich opening phase, the Lübeckers took advantage of a brief slack on the part of the home side and turned the game around within a few minutes.

Löwen aggressive, but without scoring chances

After falling behind, coach Maurizio Jacobacci’s team became more aggressive in the duels and pushed the guests deep into their half. In the end, however, most attacks were too imprecise. After two defeats, it was the first win of the season for the guests from Lübeck.
