Stops in summer
Fin Bartels will end his career at his hometown club Holstein Kiel in the summer, as the 36-year-old offensive player recently confirmed. The “Storks” want to keep their player icon in the club afterwards, as coach Marcel Rapp said of the “Picture‘ confirmed: ‘There are talks. The club wants to involve Fin Bartels. Wherever.”
In 2020, Bartels said in a Transfermarkt interview after his professional career: “You should never say ‘never’. But I would like to have at least a little distance from football for the time being, that’s how it is in my head. Have a weekend again, for example to a wedding, if that’s possible again in two years. You missed so much, gave up a lot. So maybe I’ll give myself a break first. But who knows, football is my passion. So let’s see.”
