Holstein Kiel sign Marko Ivezic from FK Vozdovac

Serbia national player

Holstein Kiel continues to set a tight pace when it comes to transfers. Marko Ivezic comes to the Förde from FK Vozdovac from Serbia and is already the sixth new signing for the coming season. The 21-year-old defensive midfielder signed a contract until June 30, 2027, as the second division club announced.

The prominent departures of Fabian Reese (25), Hauke Wahl (29), Fin Bartels (36) and Co. should also be compensated qualitatively. At €1 million, Ivezic is the second new signing with a seven-figure market value after Carl Johansson (€1.2 million) – this has only happened six times in the club’s history. At the club from the Vozdovac district of Belgrade, which ended last season in seventh place in the Serbian Superliga, Ivezic was one of the regular staff and was used in 30 games (one assist). He also made his senior debut for Serbia in a friendly against USA in January.

“Despite his young age, Marko Ivezić is already a very cool player who takes responsibility and knows his role on the field. At the same time, he is always looking to develop further. We’re happy that we were able to win Marko over and we think that he fits in very well with our game idea,” explained managing director Uwe Stöver. Ivezic himself added: “I’m looking forward to the challenge at Holstein Kiel and I’m proud to be part of this club. In the next few years I want to support the team with my skills and I hope that I can continue to develop at this high level of the second Bundesliga here in Germany. But my first goal now is to settle in and integrate quickly.”
