Contract expired at the end of the season
Holstein Kiel has extended Philipp Sander’s contract, which originally expired at the end of the season. The 23-year-old signed a new working paper until June 30, 2024. The central midfielder, who was loaned out to third-division side SC Verl last season, has played 624 minutes in 18 games this season, in which he played four Toren was directly involved.
“In that year at SC Verl, Philipp Sander took the development that we had hoped for from the loan and this season he showed with good performances what potential he has. We are therefore very pleased that Philipp will stay with us beyond the summer,” said Sport Managing Director Uwe Stöver.
Sander added: “I’m satisfied with my development and I’m convinced that it’s far from over. That’s why I’m very happy to be able to continue on my way here in Kiel with this team.”
