Plants and weeds storm the grey-grey concrete structure that is hidden behind a few ash trees in a garden, invisible to traffic on the Hoofdstraat in Nieuwolda. Albert Waalkens (1872-1950) apparently had foresight and had the shelter built in the 1930s.
