Thor star Chris Hemsworth39, recently learned that he has two types of genes that increase his risk of developing Alzheimer’s, a degenerative brain disease.
His risk of getting Alzheimer’s is statistically ten times the average.
The revelation came out In the Disney+ streaming service Limitless with Chris Hemsworth documentary seriesin which we go over ways how the body can defend itself against diseases and function better.
In the fifth episode, the doctor Peter Attia tells Hemsworth of his discovery, who is visibly shocked.
Later, the actor described that the information was shocking to him, and it seemed to take the floor from under his feet.

The APOE4 gene found in Hemsworth is only 2-3 percent of the entire world’s population, so it is relatively rare.
Doctors have confirmed to the DailyBeast that despite having a double gene that predisposes to Alzheimer’s, Hemsworth may never get the memory disease.
– It is true that one or two specific genes increase the risk, but that does not determine whether a memory disorder will develop, says one doctor.
– Not everyone with a double gene gets Alzheimer’s, another consoles.
According to doctors, many who do not have a predisposing factor can get memory disease, and those who live with it in the same way do not.
