Holland International Blues Festival also in 2024: ‘It’s a shame not to continue’

The Holland International Blues Festival is not doing a farewell tour this weekend in Grolloo. The two-day event will return for a seventh edition next year.

In 2016, the Holland International Blues Festival was held for the first time. It was an initiative of blues lover Johan Derksen, resident of Grolloo. Originally, the festival was planned to take place for a total of five years.

“But it is a shame not to go through with it. Especially when you look at how many people come to it,” says spokesperson Junior van der Stel of organizer MOJO. “In 2024, the festival will therefore return on June 14 and 15.”

The first four editions of the Holland International BluesFestival were in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019. In the following two years, the event was canceled due to the corona pandemic. In 2022, the Holland International Blues Festival will return for a fifth edition.

This weekend the event will be held in Grolloo for the sixth time. John Fogerty, Beth Hart and The Teskey Brothers are some of the performers.
