The three-time overall World Cup winner Ramona Hofmeister won the World Cup in the parallel giant slalom in Blue Mountain, Canada.
After failing in the quarterfinals of the first edition on Thursday, the 26-year-old made it to the top of the podium on Friday. In the final, Hofmeister defeated Julie Zogg from Switzerland, third was Daniela Ulbing from Austria.
For the other German snowboarders, on the other hand, it was over early again. Cheyenne Loch failed in the quarterfinals, Melanie Hochreiter and Carolin Langenhorst did not make it past the round of 16.
In the men’s category, the only German starter, Stefan Baumeister, was also in the round of the top eight.
