The Barcelona and Girona guilds award the distinction to the Barcelona bakery, which was created in 2008 by the late Mey Hofmann

The Hofmann’s Bakerycreated in 2008 by the late Mey Hofmann, has won the Award for the Best Pastry Shop in Catalonia granted by the guilds of Barcelona and Girona. With Miquel Guarro as pastry director since 2019, Hofmann is a recognized signature pastry with a wide repertoire of creations that vary according to the season. Since his birth in the Born district of Barcelona, he has won important recognitions such as the Best Artisan Butter Croissant Award (2010); the Prize for the Best Tea Pasta (2015) and the Fava d’Or de Cacau for the Best Pastry Shop in Barcelona and counties in 2021 and 2022.
The award has been granted by the pastry guilds of Barcelona and Girona after an internal vote of its members. The delivery will be made on Sunday, June 12 at the 2022 Pastry Gala (at 8:30 p.m. at the Pastry School of the Guild of Barcelona).

The Pastry School has also awarded the Master Pastry Chef Medal to Jaume Viñallonga (Montornés del Vallès, Vallès Oriental).
