Hoffenheim coach Matarazzo feels “a unity”

Coach Pellegrino Matarazzo does not recognize any negative mood at Bundesliga soccer team TSG Hoffenheim despite the downward spiral in sport.

“I feel a unity,” said the 46-year-old before the away game at VfL Wolfsburg: “I like to say that in unpleasant times you notice the strength of a relationship. And here I notice how my team is coming together.”

The Kraichgauers have recently gone five games in a row without a win, and in general there has only been one success in the last nine games. “In special situations you can also show special performances,” said Matarazzo with a view to Sunday (3:30 p.m.): “We have to be active for 90 minutes, act as a team for 90 minutes. If there is a setback, there is also a talent-free area Game in which you can act.”

Meanwhile, TSG also informed on Friday about the early contract extension with junior national goalkeeper Nahuel Noll. The 20-year-old extended his contract, which expires next year, until the summer of 2027.

The keeper currently plays mostly in the second team in the Regionalliga Südwest, but takes part in training with the professionals as number three.
