The German national hockey teams had to admit defeat in their first duel against the Netherlands as part of the double-game day of the Pro League in Hamburg.
The men lost 2:3 (1:2) to the leader in front of around 2,500 spectators. Mats Grambusch (Rot-Weiss Köln) scored to make it 1-0, Thies Prinz (Rot-Weiss Köln) scored to make it 2-2 in the meantime. For the team of national coach André Henning it was the sixth defeat in the 15th game.
Women lose their 2-0 lead
Previously, the DHB women had also lost 2:3. The selection of national coach Valentin Altenburg gave a 2-0 break lead against the world champion out of hand. The goals were scored by Sara Strauss (Düsseldorfer HC) and Sonja Zimmermann (Mannheimer HC). For the DHB selection it was the sixth defeat in the 13th game.
On Sunday (11.30 a.m./2.30 p.m.) there will be two more games at the club’s facility on the Alster.
