Hockey, NHL: Draisaitl and Oilers lose at bottom

Leon Draisaitl was unable to crown a spectacular comeback with his Edmonton Oilers in the North American professional ice hockey league NHL.

Both Columbus Blue Jacketsthe bottom of the table Eastern Conferencethe Oilers caught up from a 4-0 deficit within just eight minutes, but ultimately lost the goal spectacle 6-5.

American Jack Roslovic dashed the Oilers’ comeback hopes with his two goals in the final period (50′, 55′). It was only the 15th win in 59 games for the Blue Jackets.

Oilers are catching up and still losing

In a wild second third, the hosts increased from 1-0 to 4-0 within six minutes before the Oilers hit by Warren Foegele (27th), Draisaitl (30th) and a brace from his congenial strike partner Connor McDavid (33′, 35′) equalized the game. The gate of Zach Hyman just before the end came too late (58th).

In the scorer ranking, the outstanding McDavid, who prepared two more goals in addition to his own, is in first place with 113 points, ahead of Draisaitl (88) in second place. It’s an unexpected setback for the Oilers as they battle to get into the playoffs.
